USS Bonhomme Richard Missile ShootThis as taken on September 18th, 2016 onboard the USS Bonhomme Richard, Firing the NATO SeaSparrow Missile System at a drone during the 2016 Missile Exercise. It was a successful hit and one can only imagine that every Fire Controlman and Officer in CIC was holding their breath as we watched the missile soar into the target. After we got a confirm kill all of the FC's, OS's and Officers in Combat erupted and celebrated for the successful Completion of the Missile Exercise. It was an absolute privilege to be on the Bridge Wing to capture this shot.
Vintage BonhommeThis was the first shot I have ever taken with my 1976 Canon A-1. This is the USS Bonhomme Richard in port Sasebo, Japan undergoing SRA.
CIWS Pac FireFiring CIWS before the missile shoot, Just incase the missile missed and we had to take the drone out.
Rainy Day in SaseboSitting at my office at SRF (Ship's Repair Facility) Sasebo. I normally bring my camera everywhere I go inside my back pack and try to capture different images from the same environment. Outside my window I saw the water and silhouette of the ships and immideately took the shot.
Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD)This one Image sums up the purpose of my ship USS Bonhomme Richard. Marines embark onto Helicopters and LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion) to land on the beach for Amphibious Assault.
Storm Approaching SaseboA major thunderstorm was rolling through Sasebo on this day and I was lucky enough to watch the rain start to fall in the bay.

Air EmbarkationThe Marines from the 31st MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit) embarking onto a CH-53 for Beach Assault Exercise.
Full MoonThis was taken while i was underway. This was also one of the hardest shots I have ever taken on a moving ship. Dispite the challenges I found the right settings and the perfect moment when the ship stopped rocking and snap got the clearest moon shot I possibly could.
